The immune system is made up of organs, tissues, cells and chemical messengers that interact to protect the body from external invaders and its own internally altered cells. Chemical messengers are arecytokines that are secreted by cells of the immune system that direct immune cell interactions. Lymphocytes (leukocytes classified as B cells or T cells) secrete lymphokines. Monocytes and macrophages secrete monokines. Interleukins are a type of cytokine that sends messages between leukocytes to direct protective action. The best way to understand this system is through the different defense levels of the body. The goal of pathogens is to cross these levels to enter the body, reproduce, and then tap into healthy tissue, causing damage. The task of the immune system is to stop them. High impact journals are those that are considered very influential in their respective fields. The journal impact factor provides a quantitative evaluation tool for classifying, evaluating, sorting and comparing journals of a similar nature. It reflects the average number of citations of recent articles published in scientific and social science journals in a given year or period, and is frequently used as a proxy for the relative importance of a journal in its field. It was first designed by Eugene Garfield, the founder of the Institute for Scientific Information. The impact factor of a journal is assessed by dividing the number of citations from the current year to source articles published in that journal in the previous two years
