Forensic Pathology Review Articles

Forensic science is the discipline of pathology involved in the investigation of deaths with forensic implications, for example, suspected homicides, deaths in custody and other complex forensic cases. The role of forensic pathologists is to assist coroners, police and the courts to resolve critical medical problems, including the causes of death, the circumstances in which the deaths occurred and how the injuries could have been caused. Forensic pathologists focus on examining the deceased. This examination includes a medical history examination, an external examination and CT scans. The review articles are a summary of the current state of knowledge on a particular research subject. They analyze or discuss research previously published by scientists and academics rather than reporting new research results. The review article takes the form of systematic reviews and literature reviews and is a form of secondary literature. Systematic reviews determine an objective list of criteria and find all previously published original research articles that meet the criteria. They then compare the results presented in these articles. Literature reviews, on the other hand, provide a summary of what the authors believe to be the best and most relevant previous publications. The concept of "review article" is distinct from the concept of peer-reviewed literature. An exam may be peer reviewed, and an exam may not be peer reviewed.
