Disaster management can be defined as organizing and managing resources and responsibilities to address all humanitarian aspects of emergencies, in particular preparedness, response and recovery, in order to lessen the impact of disasters. The first people to respond to a tragedy are those who live in the local community. They are the first to begin rescue operations and relief operations. One should concentrate on community-based disaster preparedness, which helps communities minimize their vulnerability to disasters and improve their capacity to withstand them. With proper preparation and planning, we can help reduce the damage to children and families when a tragedy occurs. If a community or country's capacity to respond and recover from a disaster is overcome around the world to ensure that communities are informed of the threats they face, and how to prepare and react appropriately in the event of an emergency.
