Diagnostic Microbiology High Impact Factor Journals

The study of the latest advances in clinical microbiology for the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases is called Diagnostic Microbiology. High impact magazines are those that are considered highly influential in their respective fields. The journal impact factor provides a quantitative evaluation tool to rate, evaluate, classify and compare similar type journals. It reflects the average number of citations to recent articles published in scientific and social science journals in a particular year or period, and is frequently used as a proxy for the relative importance of a journal within its field. It was first devised by Eugene Garfield, the founder of the Institute for Scientific Information. The impact factor of a journal is evaluated by dividing the number of citations for the current year by the source elements published in that journal during the previous two years.
