Concrete is a construction material consisting of cement, sand and coarse aggregates mixed with water which hardens and gets durable eventually with time. Portland cement is the commonly used type of cement for production of concrete. Concrete technology deals with study of properties of cement, concrete and its practical applications. A building construction, concrete is employed for the development of slabs, foundations, columns, beams, buildings and other load bearing elements. There are differing types of binding material is employed apart from cement like lime for lime concrete and bitumen for asphalt concrete which is employed for construction. Concrete is that the most typically used man-made material on earth. A vital construction material used extensively in buildings, bridges, roads and dams. Its uses range from structural applications, to paviours, kerbs, pipes and drains. The aim of Concrete Research is to publish the simplest research on the materials science and engineering of concrete, cement, cement composites, mortars and other allied materials that incorporate cement or other mineral binders
