Concrete Innovations

Concrete innovations are augmented with innovative products and additives inorder to enhance plastic and hardened properties. Innovative supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) such as slag cement, fly ash and silica fume are used to increase durability, strength and workability. When tonnage is compared, the use of concrete wood, aluminum outweighs plastic and steel combined. Concrete is the material that has the ability to continuously be the center of innovation. Bio concrete is concrete that is mixed using the same techniques as traditional concrete except that it also contains specific bacteria. These bacteria generate crystals that enclose their cells. It cannot can it be used to print items such as auto parts and plastics, but now also print concrete objects. Eco or Green Concrete with its continued focus on the environment, it would not be a surprise that the construction industry is developing materials that are more ecologically friendly. Concrete typically generates a great deal and impact of carbon. In fact, it produces sufficient carbon so that the typical carbon footprint of concrete is nearly as large as the weight of the material itself.
