Central Obesity Impact Factor

The International Diabetes Federation declares that central obesity is the only mandatory criterion for the diagnosis of metabolic syndrome. Central obesity is an excessive accumulation of visceral adipose tissue. This is often correlated with IR. Central obesity can be more detrimental to good glucose metabolism since overweight or even obese people with proportional body fat do not always show signs of IR, while in some cases normal weight individuals with excessive visceral adiposity can display IR. The Journal of Metabolic Syndrome focuses on cutting-edge research in the prevention, pharmacological treatment, management and education of obesity and related disorders.High impact journals are those that are considered very influential in their respective fields. The journal impact factor provides a quantitative assessment tool for classifying, evaluating, sorting and comparing journals of a similar nature. It reflects the average number of citations from recent articles published in scientific and social journals in a given year or period and is frequently used as an indirect indicator of the relative importance of a journal in its field. It was first designed by Eugene Garfield, the founder of the Institute for Scientific Information. The impact factor of a journal is assessed by dividing the number of citations from the current year to source articles published in that journal in the previous two years.
