The treatment of breast cancer takes various approaches depending on the physical and biological features of the disease, as well as the sex, general health and patient's personal preferences. Treatment types may be classified into local and systemic therapy (chemotherapy, endocrine, and targeted therapy). Local therapy is most effective in early-stage breast cancer, whereas systemic treatment is usually justified in advanced and metastatic disease or severe phenotypic diseases. Historically only radical surgery has treated breast cancer. Advances in the understanding of the natural course of breast cancer and the advancement of systematic treatments allowed the use of breast-conserving operations, but the nomenclature of non-operative management from the point of view of conclusive surgery gives two adjectives relevant to timeline care. The center of the treatment of breast cancer is local and regional tumor surgery, accompanied (or preceded) by a combination of chemotherapy , radiotherapy, endocrine (hormone) therapy, and laser therapy. Study to use immunotherapy for the treatment of breast cancer is continuing.
