Cytopathology is a one of the branch of science which studies and diagnoses diseases at the cellular level. Cytopathologic tests are rarely called as cover tests due to their samples that are smeared across a glass microscope slide for subsequent staining and microscopic testing. free cells or tissue fragments are commonly used samples.
