Biography

Vilmos Vecsei, Head and Chairman of the Department of Trauma Surgery at the Medical University Vienna. Born 1942 in Sopron/Hungary, he obtained his medical degree at the University of Innsbruck in 1967. He has published more than 400 scientific reports on all aspects of surgery and traumatology, and has given many lectures in this field. He is member of a number of national and international scientific societies. He is also Editor-in-Chief of the Journal "Osteosynthesis and Trauma Care" published by this society.
