Professor, School of Environmental Science & Engineering
Shandong University, China
Prof., Dr. Rui Wang got the degrees from BSc. to Ph.D. from Dalian University of Technology (China) during 1986.9-1996.10. After subsequent finishing his two-year post-doctorial research, he became an associated Professor in 1999 and was promoted to full Professor in 2002. He had been visiting Professors in The University of Liverpool (UK, 2002; 2012), Queen’s University of Belfast (UK, 2009) and Semenov Institute of Chemical Physics (Russian Federation, 2009-2010; 2012-2013). His research areas encompass the overlapping fields of environmental engineering, chemical engineering, clean energy and materials science, with a strong emphasis on waste reclamation and reuse. At the moment, the on-going projects relevant to waste recycling include biofuel production from waste biomass, light metal ions capture from saline water and catalytic transformation of CO2 into valuable chemicals.
