Biography

Dr. Rosaleen has done PhD and Bachelor degrees in social work from the National University of Singapore and a Master degree in social work from University College, Cardiff, Wales. Beside academic commitments, social work practice experience includes working with low-income families in Singapore, and as a deputy superintendent of a childrens family group home in Cardiff, Wales. Currently the Head of Department, Social Work, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, the National University of Singapore.

Research Interest

Multi-cultural perspectives on end-of-life issues and palliative care; psycho-social impact on families of divorce and re-marriage; resilience in children from dysfunctional/troubled families
