Biography

Khaled Abbas Helmy Abdou has completed his PhD at the age of 31 years from Cairo University and postdoctoral studies from Miguel Hernandez University of Elche, Spain Institute of Bioengineering. He is the Professor of environmental Toxicology, faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Vice Dean faculty of post graduate Studies, Beni Suef University, Egypt and he is the General Secretary of the Egyptian Society of Environmental Toxicology. He has more than 43 papers published in reputed journals and in international conferences and has been serving as an editorial board member of repute. Major research fields are assessment of chemicals levels in drinking and surface water, fish, and plants in the Nile river sediments and in some lakes as an indicator of environmental pollution in Egypt. Assessment and evaluation of the quantity of certain pollutants such as heavy metals and pesticides in human food (poultry, eggs, dairy products and livestock meat) as an indicator of the extent of contamination of food of animal origin in Egypt. Study the side effects of pesticides and heavy metals on the fertility and reproduction of certain organisms, the symptoms of these toxic chemicals, the mechanisms that caused them, the methods of treatment.
