Falah Ali

Falah Ali is a Reader in Digital Communications at the University of Sussex. He received his BSc and MSc from Cardiff University in 1984 and 1986, respectively, and his PhD from the University of Warwick in 1992. Between1992- 1994 he was a postdoctoral research associate at Lancaster University. In 1994 he joined the University of Sussex as a Lecturer in Electronics Engineering and in 2000 as a Senior Lecturer. He has over 20 years of research experience during which he has led many projects and awarded research funding from the government and industry. He coauthored over 100 papers in various journals and conferences. He served as a member of technical programme committee in several international conferences, and as a co-chair of the Sensornets’14 and PECCS’12. His research interests are in the areas of wireless communications and sensor networks. He is a Fellow of IET, Senior Member of IEEE, and Chartered Engineer.
