    Author(s): Linlin Tomar*

This study investigates the long-term efficacy of Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) in the management of dystonia, a debilitating neurological disorder characterized by involuntary muscle contractions. While numerous studies have demonstrated the short and intermediate-term benefits of DBS, the sustainability of therapeutic effects and the factors influencing long-term outcomes remain pivotal considerations. Through an extensive review of the literature, this research aims to delineate the enduring impact of DBS on dystonia symptoms, motor function and quality of life over extended periods. The exploration encompasses various target sites within the brain, patient-specific factors and emerging technologies that contribute to shaping the evolving landscape of DBS for dystonia. The findings aim to provide insights into optimizing treatment strategies and enhancing the .. Read More»
