  Malaria, a deadly mosquito-borne disease, continues to afflict millions of people worldwide, particularly in tropical and subtropical regions. In recent years, there has been a growing focus on local elimination campaigns as a strategy to create malaria-free zones in specific regions. This article explores the lessons gleaned from successful local elimination campaigns and their potential to contribute to the global goal of eradicating malaria.
