Xing Quan Zhu is Professor and Head of the Department of Parasitology, Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China. He graduated from Sichuan Institute of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, China in 1983 followed by post-graduation in Veterinary Parasitology in the year 1988 from The Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China. He has completed his PhD in molecular parasitology in the year 1999 from Faculty of Veterinary Science, The University of Melbourne, Australia. He is the Chief Scientist of the Innovative Research Group of Animal Parasitic Diseases and member of the advisory editorial board for Trends in Parasitology, and member of the editorial board for Parasites & Vectors, Parasitology Research and Experimental Parasitology. Xing Quan Zhu is the Referee for 12 international journals. He is Vice-president of Chinese Society for Parasitology.
