Xiangwei Xiao

Biography

Dr. Xiangwei Xiao has received his M.D. in Tianjin Medical University in 1997, China and his Ph.D. in VRIJE Universiteit Brussel, Belgium in 2011. Currently, he is working as an assistant professor in the Pediatric Surgery Department of Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, University of Pittsburgh, USA. His research has included diabetes, pancreas development, islet biology, pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer. He is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like Pancreas Research (EIC), Journal of Endocrinology and, Journal of Cytology & Histology, Journal of Cancer Sciences, etc. He is also expert Reviewers for journals like BMC Cancer, Tumour Biology, Cancer Science, Endocrine Journal, PLOS one, Molecular Biology Reports, Renal failure, etc. He has authored many research articles as first or corresponding author, including JCI, PNAS, Diabetes, Diabetologia and JBC. He is a member of American Diabetes Association.
