Research Interest

Cell biology, molecular genetics and population genetics, functional analysis of SNPs. Actually the main research field of Rosalia D’Angelo is related to molecular and genetics features of Cerebral Cavernous Malformations that occur in both sporadic form that familial, identifying new variants in the three CCM genes. In this context, is a member of a Network multidisciplinary research on cerebral cavernous malformations (CCM Italy www.ccmitalia.unito.it) that, with an integrated approach to research, it is aims to relate the clinical, genetic, histological, molecular and cellular pathology features of this disease with a view to a more rapid advancement of knowledge on the pathogenic mechanisms.
