Biography

Vijay Prabha, am working as Professor in the Department of Microbiology, Panjab University, Chandigarh. I have 20 years of teaching and 25 years of research work experience. I have guided number of M.Sc. and Ph.D students. My area of interest is role of microorganisms in infertility and development of microbial metabolites as contraceptives. Another area of my research is molecular mimicry between bacteria and spermatozoa. I have about 61 publications in national and international journals.

2. Exploiting sperm impairing bacterial metabolites as vaginal contraceptives
3. Understanding Bacteria sperm interaction at the receptor ligand level to develop immunocontraceptives
4. Molecular mimicry between bacteria and spermatozoa.
5. Probiotics and their role in infertility.
6. Cloning and characterization of sperm impairing factors isolated from microorganisms.
