Dr. Tomoko Kodama Kawashima (MD, PhD, MPH.), a specialist in Clinical Neurology. She joined Department of Health Policy Science at National Institute of Public Health (NIPH), Japan in 2005. She has been engaged to Health Service Research, contributing to health policy planning, i.e. End of Life Care Guideline, New Act of Rare/Intractable Diseases. She has also worked as PO of Rare/Intractable Disease project (2009-2010) at the Ministry of Health, Labors & Welfare and then promoted international collaboration of R&D on Rare/Intractable diseases in the position of a senior chief researcher at Department of International Health and Collaboration. Currently, she continues her work as an invited researcher at NIPH along with her clinical work.
