Marino Gran obtained his PhD at the Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium 1999, and the Habilitation at the Université du Littoral Côte d'Opale in France in 2007. He has published several research articles in category theory, homological algebra, universal algebra, and Galois theory. He serves as an editor on the boards of other research journals in category theory and in algebraic topology. He is currently president of the Research Institute in Mathematics and Physics at the Université catholique de Louvain.
