Katarina Wolf present working as Associate Professor in Department of Cell Biology, Radboud Institute for Molecular Life Sciences, The Netherlands. Katarina Wolf international experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries for diverse fields of study. Katarina Wolf research interests reflect wide range of publications in various national and international journals.
Katarina Wolf research interests focused on tumor cell invasion, a process facilitated by proteolytic processing of the heterogeneous extracellular matrix. The aim is to (a) identify the extracellular recruitment and cleavage-control mechanisms of MT1-MMP, the most important tumor-associated pro-invasive cell surface protease; (b) define the physical limits and the limiting cell compartments (i.e. nucleus) for protease-independent cancer cell migration through 3D tissues in vitro; and (c) validate the relevance of protease-dependent and -independent (drug-induced) tumor invasion modes and metastasis in vivo.
