Dr. Ian McCarthy an assistant professor of economics at Emory University, where my research relates primarily to the fields of health economics, policy, and economic evaluation of health care programs. Within these areas, I am interested in patient choice, hospital and insurance market structure, and empirical methodologies in cost and comparative effectiveness research.
Prior to joining Emory University, He was a director in the economic consulting practice at FTI Consulting and a director of health economics with Baylor Scott & White Health. He received my PhD in economics from Indiana University.
