Dr. Shaikh has been awarded several Travel grants from HEC for oral presentations in the USA, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Canada. He has presented 120 research papers in international conferences, proceedings as well as local international conferences. He has received Best Paper Award on his paper entitled Sustainable rural development and its impact on the development of Rural Sindh, Contributed to Maui International Applied Business Research Conference was held on January 3-5, 2011 at Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa in Maui, Hawaii USA.
