Edward J. Kaplan is a board-certified radiation oncologist who received his medical degree from Albany Medical College and performed his internship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. He received his medical degree from Albany Medical College and performed his internship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. He did his radiation oncology residency at Mt. Sinai in New York. He completed his research fellowship at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. There, he trained under Dr. Gerald Hanks, a highly respected leader in radiotherapy for prostate cancer. Following his fellowship, Dr. Kaplan joined the faculty at Cornell University Medical College, where he served as an assistant professor in radiation oncology. Dr. Kaplan’s passion is working as a physician-scientist promoting the development of a host of breakthrough cancer treatments. Kaplan was selected by his peers in 2008-2013, as one of Florida’s best doctors.
