Biography

Dr Christo Damianov has received his PhD in Medical Faculty at the Medical Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria. His specialization in Urology took place at the Higher Military Medical Academy in Sofia and he was employed there in the capacity of Head of Urology Department until 1994. He had been working in the field of scientific research in Urooncology from 1984. D-r Damianov is the founder of Department of Urology in the National Oncological Centre in Sofia where he actively worked until 2003. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities as Head of Department and his leading role was outstanding in the field of development of new methods for cancer patients’ treatment. His research was included in his doctorate thesis of ‘Immunotherapy in Complex Treatment of Bladder Tumors” for which he received his Doctors Degree in Medicine. Based on this research he started publishing more than 90 in various scientific issues and journals, he is the author of two inventions and 4 rationalizations/ modifications as well as one monograph. Recently he published 8 research articles in reputed medical journals in the field of Integrative Oncology. Based on his expertise and outstanding achievement in Urology and Oncology as well as fellowship training in the field of Integrative Medicine in general he has honoured ass: Member of Bulgarian Scientific Union, Academy of Science – New York, Scientific International Union of Urology (SIU), European Association of Urology (EAU), Balkan Union of Oncology (BUON), International Organization of Integrative Cancer Practitioners (IOICP), European IPT/IPTLD Academy. Currently he is successfully working in the First Integrative Medical Centre which he created in 2006 and he is aiming all his activities to development of Integrative Oncology in Bulgaria. D-r Damianov is the first Bulgarian medical doctor who was trained and qualified to use IPT. Results of implementation of IPT methodology for the cancer treatment are currently displayed and published in four of his recent scientific articles. The team of the Integrative Oncology Centre trained and lead by D-r Damianov develops and actively uses all recent achievements in the field of Integrative Oncology such as: IPT, hyperthermia, intravenous therapy with high dose of Vitamin C, immune therapy, laser therapy, electric therapy, etc. For the last 2 years the routine practice of the Integrative Medical Centre of D-r Damianov includes examination test of availability of circulating tumor cells and chemo sensitivity test. Currently he is working on research of IPT treatment of tumors after chemo sensitive test which is to be published in a Medical Treatment Protocol upon its completion.
