She received her PhD in Chemical Engineering from University of Illinois in 1995.She obtained her BS degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Texas at Austin in 1988. She currently serves as Professor and Chair, J. Crayton Pruitt Family Department of Biomedical Engineering, U. Florida.
