Christina Yen, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine doctor. She provides primary care for adults, including preventive care and diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic diseases. Dr. Le has special training in infectious diseases and provides comprehensive travel medicine services for adults. These inlcude pre-travel medical evaluations, vaccinations, medications and preventive measures for travel-related illnesses and post-travel medical care.
As an associate clinical professor of medicine, Dr. Yen is involved in training medical students, residents and fellows at UC San Diego School of Medicine.
Prior to joining UC San Diego, Dr. Yen worked primarily in the public health sector with underserved communities. She treated patients with tuberculosis (including MDR-TB), HIV, STIs and provided primary care to the medically indigent.
Dr. Yen completed her residency training at Brown University School of Medicine and her fellowship training at UC Davis School of Medicine. She earned her medical degree at University of Vermont College of Medicine. She is board-certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases.
