Chris Brightling

Biography

Professor Chris Brightling is a Wellcome Trust Senior Clinical Fellow, coordinator of both AirPROM an FP7 funded integrated project and the MRC/ABPI COPD consortium, co-coordinator of the BTS Severe Asthma Registry and is the local lead for the NIHR Therapeutic Capability Cluster. He is experienced in developing the theme of phenotyping and biomarkers at a local, national and international level across a broad range of academic and industry partners. His research interests include the role of airway smooth muscle in asthma. He has published over 140 papers with a H index of 40.
