Carlos Manuel Campero graduated as a veterinarian in 1969, National University of La Plata, Argentina with gold medal for his qualifications. He completed his doctorate in 1983 at the same university in bovine trichomonosis issue. Later he made his PhD in James Cook University, Australia in 1989 in the genital area immunopathology in bulls. He made âââ‰â¬Â¹Ã¢ââ‰â¬Â¹a postdoctoral fellow (1997-1999) in the Department of Population Health and Reproduction, School of Veterinary Medicine, University of California, USA on the theme: "Genital immune response and immunopathology in heifers vaccinated and challenged with Tritrichomonas fetus". He was professor of Medical Pathology, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Tandil, Argentina from 1976 to 1984. He joined the INTA Balcarce in 1984, where he developed his work as a researcher.
