Carlos Jorge Logullo de Olveira is currently associate professor at the Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro (UENF) and member of the FAPERJ area coordination. He was a coordinator of the Animal Experimentation Unit - RJ from 2012 to 2014 and adviser on international and institutional affairs of UENF from 2011 to 2015. He is a Chemistry Technician from ETFQ-RJ, Bachelor of Chemistry from the Fluminense Federal University (1993) (1993), Master's Degree in Biological Chemistry from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1996), PhD in Biological Chemistry from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2000) and Post-Doctor at the Veterinary Medicine School of Hokkaido University - Japan (2005). He has experience in the field of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, with emphasis on Energy Metabolism, working mainly on the following topics: Embryogenesis, Insect Physiology and Vector Control. He is a consultant (ad hoc) of several national and international scientific journals and funding bodies for research, a research productivity grant from CNPq since 2003 and a Scientist from Our State by FAPERJ since 2009. His publications show the effective participation of its orientandos, collaborators in Brazil and abroad and graduates of the research group it leads. He has international cooperation with the University of Hokkaido - Japan since 2009, where he supervised two postdocs and three sandwich doctorates, with UDELAR - Uruguay since 2010, with Texas A & M University - USA since 2012 and with ILRI - Kenya Since 2015. It also maintains close collaboration with the research group installed at NUPEM / UFRJ-Macaé, RJ, Brazil.
