Bao Jun graduated from Northeast Agricultural University, Harbin, PR China in 1984 with his B.Sc. in Animal Sciences and achieved his Ph.D in 1993 from University Collage Cork (U.C.C), Ireland. He started teaching and research career at Northeast Agricultural University after finishing his Ph.D. Study and gained his lecturer, associate professor and professor positions there. In 1999, he became vice president of Northeast Agricultural University and in 2008 he moved to Heilongjiang Bayi Agricultural University, P.R.
