Ashim Gupta

Biography

 Dr. Gupta has joined Institute for Plastic Surgery at Southern Illinois University, School of Medicine as a Research Assistant Professor and the Director of Laboratory for Regenerative Medicine and Applied Sciences. He received his bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (B.Pharm) from Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2004 and Research (DIPSAR) (Formerly, College of Pharmacy), University of Delhi, Delhi, India. Dr. Gupta received his masters (MS) and doctorate (PhD) in Molecular Biology at Southern Illinois University, School of Medicine. He also received a professional diploma in clinical research (PDCR) from India, 2009.

Dr. Gupta is the author of several published and unpublished research articles and book chapters. He is a member of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society, Biomedical Engineering Society, Society for Biomaterials, Orthopedic Research Society, American Association for Advancement of Science, American Heart Association and American Association for Cancer Research.  He has received many awards for presentations given regionally and nationally. He also serves as a reviewer for scientific journals.
