As Director of the Laboratory of Entomology and Control Environmental Vectors, Dr. Alessandra Torina is involved in national and international research projects, as well as in routine activities concerning entomological surveillance for Blue Tongue, West Nile disease and Tick borne disease. She is co-author of 269 scientific papers published in national and international journals. Dr. Alessandra Torina is member of the Editorial Board for Parasitoloy of the journal "Scientifica" Hindawi Publishing Corporation and referee ad hoc for the following journals: Applied and Environmental Microbiology; Infection, Genetics and Evolution; Medical and Veterinary Entomology; Parasite and Vectors; Parassitologia; Tick and Tick-borne disease; Veterinary parasitology.
