  Autotransplantation provides the possibility of a natural tooth rather than a prothesis or an osseointegrated implant to replace a missing tooth. The indications for autotransplantation are wide, but careful patient selection coupled with an appropriate technique is a prerequisite for a good functional and esthetic outcome. Autogenous tooth transplantation is the surgical movement of a tooth from one location in the mouth to another in the same individual. It has achieved high success rates and is an excellent option for tooth replacement.
