Dr. Puente-Barragán specializes in nuclear cardiology, with a focus on imaging diagnosis. She is the chief in charge of the medical section of the Cardiology department in the National Medical Center “20 de Noviembre” ISSSTE in Mexico City. In combination to this charge, Dr. Puente-Barragán has collaborated in a number of investigations producing scientific articles and book chapters. She completed her residency in cardiology at the National Institute of Cardiology “Ignacio Chávez”. Afterwards, she was worthy with a fellowship to complete postgraduate studies in nuclear cardiology at the Vall´de Hebron in Barcelona, España. In addition to her medical practice, she has been designated as the professor of the Nuclear Cardiology course at National Autonomous University Mexican University which is one of the top universities in Latin America. Dr. Puente-Barragán has brought to the Mexican Society and the Mexican Federation of Cardiology a record of exceptional leadership and strategic vision while being a current member of the Board, as well as the Vice-president of the National Association of Cardiologists at ISSSTE (part of the public health system).
