Dr. Petrov received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. He is conducting research under the supervision of Dr. Andy Stenger. Their current research focuses on the development and application of accelerated spiral data acquisition methodologies and image reconstruction techniques based on combined low rank & sparse matrix completion for MRI, and their applications to neuroimaging.
Dr. Petrov research focuses on the development and application of new image acquisition methodologies, as well as image reconstruction techniques for MRI and fMRI. More specifically, I am working on rapid imaging techniques and novel image reconstruction methods based on compressed sensing and low-rank matrix recovery.
