Abstract :

Since 2012, the German way to implement industrial IoT-systems is a real success factor. The goal was to implement Germany as a main supplier for industrial cyber physical systems and the story was successful. Industrie 4.0 is an export hit. All over the world one is discussing the doâ??s and donâ??ts of I4.0. The real question is, is there only a German way or international globalized way. The talk will give a short overview of the state of the art of Industrie 4.0 and why there is still gap in the international view on iCPS and iIoT. One of the main topics is the technological development towards Industrie 4.0 per design. This holistically approach shows at its best that there is need to a globalized strategy with open standards. But there are also some restrictions towards a globalized technical unification. The different states of knowledge, especially in terms of real-time-systems and software-development are limiting the common understanding of technical systems. But there are still solutions.
