As a physician scientist, I have devoted my career largely to biomedical research toward hematologic disease. My long-term research goals are to define the molecular pathogenesis of disease. Thus, my laboratory primarily focuses on both the genetic and epigenetic alterations of endothelial cells and hematopoietic cells, with each project guided by methods intended to elucidate basic principles as well as practical solutions. The pathogenesis of malignant lymphoma, leukemia and other hematological problems are the primary diseases against which advancements in my laboratory are targeted, but the goal is to provide insights that will be applicable to a number of other cancer types and metabolic/degenerative disorders. Through cutting-edge technologies and broadly collaborative approaches, I am also committed to build a strong, unique and competitive research program that will ultimately benefit patients

Research Interest
