Zhong-jian Liu, professor and senior engineer at professor grade, Ph.D. supervisor, graduated from Forestry Academy of South China Agricultural University in 1982. He is the chief and principal scientist of the Key Laboratory of NFGA for Orchid Conservation and Utilization at Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, and vice-chairman of Orchid Society of China, as well as a guest professor of several universities in China. His research interests mainly focus on the Origin of Angiosperm, Orchid Systematics and Evolution, Genomics, Flowering Development and Regulatory Mechanism.
