Biography

Takeshi Naganuma is working as Associate professor at Graduate School of Biosphere Science at Hiroshima University, Japan. Prof. Tsuyoshi Naganuma has been active in diverse fields, with a great interest in various lifeforms. Hisresearch interests (in his terminology Applied Environmental Life Science) are 1) search for applicability of organisms living in extreme environments such as deep-sea, deep subsurface, volcanoes and Antarctica as well as organisms in ordinary habitats; and, 2) possibilities of the existence of extraterrestrial lives as well as human exploitation of extraterrestrial astronomical objects.
