Salkov Mykola Mykolaiovych graduated Dnipropetrovsk medical institute in 1994. After internship training graduation, in 1997, he started work at the post of doctor-neurosurgeon of territorial centre of emergency medicine. From 1999 up to 2007, he was working at the post cerebral neurosurgery doctor-neurosurgeon. Since 2007, he has been working as neurosurgeon in the department of vertebral column with spinal cord trauma. Employment experience in the same occupation is 21 years. In 2005, he passed doctoral dissertation “Diagnostics and surgical treatment of nontraumatic cerebrospinal rhinorrhea”. In January 2013, there is planned medical science doctoral dissertation: surgical treatment of spinal injury in acute and early periods. From 2007 up to 2015, he was teaching assistant of nervous diseases and neurosurgery academic department of Dnipropetrovsk medical academy, as well as was giving the neurosurgery practical classes and lectures for the students. Under the leadership of the professor, doctor of medical science, Mosiichuk N.M., there has been developed original, minimally invasive method of endonasal plastic reconstruction of cerebrospinal-fluid fistula (2004), which is introduced at present not only in many regions of Ukraine (Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia), but also abroad (Russia, Uzbekistan). He has 57 published works out of which 2 are the declaration patents of Ukraine, reports at the 13th world congress of neurosurgeons in Morocco (2005), at the neurosurgery seminar in Austria (2006), 13th congress of European association of neurosurgeons in Scotland (2007), 14th world congress of neurosurgeons in the USA (Boston, 2009), global summit on stroke 2015 (Birmingem, England), EANS 2015 (Spain, Madrid). In December 2010, he visited the neurosurgical department medical university of Vienna, Austria, where he made the report on organization of neurosurgical aid in Ukraine. In the period from February 21 to 23, 2013, he passed the course of practical anatomy and surgical education (the 6 Annual Cervical Spine Decompression and Stabilization Techniques Course) in medical school of St. Louis University (USA).
