Biography

Issa Khalil (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in computer engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, USA, in 2007. He is currently a Principal Scientist with the Cyber Security Group, Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI), and a member of Qatar Foundation.

Research Interest

Dr. Khalil’s research interests span the areas of wireless and wireline communications networks. He is especially interested in security, routing, and performance of wireless sensor, ad hoc and mesh networks. Dr. Khalil’s current research is geared towards systems’ security including cloud computing security, smart grid/city security, and E-Health security.
