Biography

Faisal Rafiq Mahamd Adikan received the Ph.D. degree from the Optoelectronics Research Centre, University of Southampton, Southampton, U.K., in 2007.,He is currently a Professor of electrical engineering and the Head of the Integrated Lightwave Research Group, University of Malaya, Malaysia.

Research Interest

His research work on corrosion sensing appeared in the March 2013 issue of a reputable international technical magazine called Optics and Photonics News. His group's collaborative research on dengue detection with the University of Ottawa was featured in reputable high impact journals and media, including Nature, Science, and Laser Focus World.
