Biography

During the past 3 years I have been a consultant to a local Minnesota startup company named Cureium Therapeutics, Inc. Cureium is an early stage specialty pharmaceutical company currently managing two drugs in late preclinical trials. In my role as a consultant I advise on project management, project selection, retention of key consultants, etc. I aided in the product acquisition of two drugs (one neuro-ophthalmic and one antibacterial drug). Both drugs are in preclinical testing in animal models. Over the past 30 years I have served on numerous advisory boards, organizations, for profit boards, and advisory undertakings. I have served on literally dozens of important local, state and National committees of widely varying function including working in Minnesota, Washington, DC, Indonesia, Russia, Georgia, Bosnia-Herzegovina. As a Dean of a large University College I have helped raise more than $50 million dollars of philanthropy for endowed chairs, new buildings, scholarships and research projects. I have hired nearly 30-40 tenure-track faculty & mentored numerous faculty at all levels. I have taught graduate and undergraduate classes. I have managed numerous complex pharmaceutical projects in both the academic and private sector. I believe my career background is perfectly suited for being a CO-PI on the REACH project.
