Brasil Silva Neto Ggaduated in medicine from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1997). Residency in General Surgery and Urology held in the Hospital de Clinicas de Porto Alegre (1998-2003). Master and Doctor of Medicine: Surgical Sciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2004-2005 and 2006-2008). It was a fellow of the Doctoral Sandwich CAPES program, working as a Research Fellow at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Boston, USA. Its main area of âââ‰â¬Â¹Ã¢ââ‰â¬Â¹activity the Oncological Urology, working in clinical research and translational research in cellular and molecular biology, with special interest in the development of new molecular tumor markers for early diagnosis and targeted therapies for urological cancers. He is a member of the Research group - Molecular Basis of Tumor Formation in collaboration with the Endocrine Tumor Biology Laboratory and the Department of UFRGS physiology. In November 2009, it was approved First in public tender for the position of Associate Professor of Urology, Department of Surgery UFRGS. It was Coordinator of Scientific HCPA Week in 2011 and 2012. Next to the Group for Research and Graduate Studies of the HCPA, was a member of the Research Ethics Committee and Co-Editor of the Journal HCPA. Teacher PPG Medicine: Surgical Sciences since October 2013. Currently holds the positions of Head of the Urology Service of the Porto Alegre University Hospital and Deputy Head of the Department of Surgery.
