Biography

He then joined the group of Professor B.C. Tripathy in the School of Life Sciences at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and worked on molecular mechanism of action of photodynamic herbicides to earn his PhD. Thereafter, he worked as a Research Scientist at Centre for Plant Molecular Biology, JNU. Dr. Chakraborty joined National Institute of Plant Genome Research, New Delhi as Scientist-II in the year 1998 and has been continuously ascending the ranks within the institute. At present, he is Scientist-VII. He took short-term assignment and worked as Research Associate at University of California, Riverside.
