Molecular Engineering

Molecular engineering is any means of producing molecules. it's going to be wont to create, on a particularly small scale, most typically one at a time, new molecules which can not exist in nature, or be stable beyond a really narrow range of conditions. Today this is often an arduous process, requiring manual manipulation of molecules using such devices as a scanning tunneling microscope. Eventually it's expected to take advantage of life-like self-replicating 'helper molecules' that are themselves engineered. Thus the sector are often seen as a precision sort of chemical engineering that has protein engineering, the creation of protein molecules, a process that happens naturally in biochemistry, e.g., prion reproduction. However, it provides much more control than genetic modification of an existing genome, which must rely strictly on existing biochemistry to precise genes as proteins, and has little power to supply any non-proteins.
