Cardiology.

Cardiology is a field of medicine concerned with cardiac problems as well as other aspects of the circulatory system. The area covers medical diagnosis and congenital heart defect treatment, coronary artery disease , heart failure, cardiac valvular disease, and electrophysiology. Doctors that are specialized in this area of medicine are called cardiologists, an internal medicine speciality. Pediatric cardiologists are cardiology-specialist pediatricians. A specialty of general surgery, doctors who specialize in cardiac surgery are called cardiothoracic surgeons or cardiac surgeons. While blood is inextricably linked to the cardiovascular system, cardiology is fairly unconcerned with hematology and its diseases. Blood tests (electrolyte abnormalities, troponins), reduced oxygen carrying ability (anemia, hypovolemic shock), and coagulopathies may be several noticeable examples affecting the heart function.
